Enter Ned and Joanna’s World

Tuesday, September 8th, 2009

To create as vivid a backdrop as possible for October release of Ned and Joanna’s book, FROM WAIF TO GENTLMAN’S WIFE, I’ve added several features to the website this month. First and foremost, there’s an excerpt to give you a taste of the story, background character sketches of Ned and Joanna, and a pictorial gallery of some the Nottinghamshire countryside where the story takes place.

There’s also an update on the 2010 Regency continuity REGENCY SILK AND SCANDAL that includes a synopsis of each book and photos of the participating authors.

Browse and enjoy!

‘WAIF’ EAGERLY AWAITED

Friday, September 4th, 2009

Julia was delighted to discover that WAIF is one of the October releases AAR staffers Blythe and Ellen are “eagerly awaiting.” Also on the list are books by favorite authors Carolyn Jewel, Mary Balogh, and Sharon Sala as well as releases by new author Tessa Dare. Plus a new historical novel about much-maligned Catherine Howard, Henry VIII’s “beheaded wife No. 2,” called THE QUEEN’S MISTAKE and written by veteran historical author Diane Haeger. Ah, if only one could do without sleep and use the time for reading!

Continuity Book Gets Title!

Wednesday, April 29th, 2009

Though Gabe would concede to being a smuggler, Honoria would probably point out that, having been disgraced, she’s no longer eligible for Society Bride status.  But her former position as a leader of the ton certainly plays a key role in the dance of attraction that fires Gabe with the need to uncover who set up the ruin of the woman he so admires…and is most reluctantly coming to love.

The complete listing of authors and titles:
Book 1       The Lord and the Wayward Waif by Louise Allen
Book 2       Paying the Virgin’s Price by Christine Merrill
Book 3       The Smuggler and the Society Bride by Julia Justiss
Book 4       Claiming the Forbidden Mistress by Gayle Wilson
Book 5       The Viscount and the Virgin by Annie Burrows
Book 6       Unlacing the Innocent Miss by Margaret McPhee
Book 7       The Officer and the Proper Lady by Louise Allen
Book 8       Taken By the Wicked Rake by Christine Merrill

Good News on Amazon UK

Monday, April 27th, 2009

Coming back from a weekend at UT Austin (where my daughter showed her collection in the senior design spring fashion show “Luminous”—yeah, Catherine!) I found in the mail a little package that contained copies of a Mills & Boone edition of my July 2008 North American release, A MOST UNCONVENTIONAL MATCH.  So today I checked Amazon UK to see if I could discover what the UK the release date will be.

Nothing on the site about MATCH—but I learned that THE WEDDING GAMBLE, my first book, will be out in a hardcover library edition in July 2009.  The November 2008 Christmas collection ONE CANDLELIT CHRISTMAS with novellas by me, Terri Brisbin and Annie Burroughs, will be released in October 2009 as REGENCY CANDLELIT CHRISTMAS.  No covers yet, but I’ll post them as I get them to my UK Readers page.

Meanwhile, I continue to wonder when MATCH will make its UK appearance.  Hmmm…maybe I should e-mail my editor?

Ned’s Book Gets a Name (and Release Date)

Tuesday, February 24th, 2009

Julia is happy to announce that Ned and Joanna’s book has been officially titled–and given a release date!  FROM WAIF TO GENTLEMAN’S WIFE will be released by Harlequin Historicals in October 2009.  This story, another Wellington family book,  completes the tale of the “trilogy” of friends that include Nicky (Nicholas Stanhope, Marquess of Englemere, THE WEDDING GAMBLE,) Hal (Hal Waterman, A MOST UNCONVENTIONAL MATCH) and now Ned, Sir Edward Austin Greaves.  For more on Ned and the lady who woos him from his determined bachelor ways, check out Coming Soon on the Bookshelf page.
